Giancarlo Alberty, O.D.

Dr. Giancarlo Alberty graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. He went on to complete a residency in acquired brain injury rehabilitation and pediatrics at Northwest Eyecare Associates in Portland, Oregon. The following year, Dr. Alberty continued to specialize with a fellowship in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation at the James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. During fellowship, he had the opportunity to work with service members with differing levels of polytrauma, and he participated in their multi-disciplinary care. After his fellowship, Dr. Alberty relocated to southeast Florida and joined the team at Plantation Eye Associates.

In addition to traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, Dr. Alberty’s practice also includes contact lenses, dry eye treatment, ocular disease management, and refractions.

Dr. Alberty is fluent in English and Spanish.

In his free time, Dr. Alberty enjoys playing volleyball, racquetball, and board games.
